Pat’s Place child Advocacy Center needs your help!
All,
Pat’s Place child Advocacy Center needs your help. Please see below and take less than 5 minutes to make your call. You will likely need to leave a message with the legislative aide – which is perfectly effective. let me know when you have made your call – thank you!
We have just been alerted that the Victims of Child Abuse Act was not included in the President’s budget. The line item was “zeroed” out by Attorney General Eric Holder. The line still exists, however and we need Congress to put funding back in! The Victims of Child Abuse Act was enacted in 1992 and provides $20 million to Children’s Advocacy Centers, National Children’s Alliance, Regional and State Children’s Advocacy Centers and The National District Attorney’s Association.
Please call your member of the US House of Representatives Office today, and ask them to sign the Dear Colleague letter to express their support for restoring $20 million dollars to the Victims of Child Abuse Act. Tell them Pat’s Place receives needed program support funds, training and technical assistance from funding through this Act. We need your help to save this funding. Our children depend on this. The House Committee must put money in the Victims of Child Abuse Act before March 20 – time is of the essence!
